Classmate Tribute at Your Reunion
A Remembrance to Classmates
"Gone, But Not Forgotten"
It is always a challenge to determine how best to remember and memorialize our classmates who are no longer with us.
One compassionate way is to put a Memorial Poster on display at your reunion with names and yearbook pictures of those classmates who have died. This is a sample Memorial Poster for sale on our website which can be customized to your school's specifications.
"A tribute of our high school friends who are no longer with us should be a part of every high school reunion," reports Linda Johnson Hoffman, author of The Reunion Planner. "During each reunion I have planned, my classmates are always asking me who in our class have died. They really appreciate the special tribute I always have on display at each reunion and it feels like they are with us as we remember our time together."
The Memorial poster can be displayed in many ways:
- On an easel atop a small table in the reception area next to a small bouquet of flowers and/or a candle.
- Drape a string of flowers around the edges of the posters.
- Have a card for each deceased classmate where attendees can write their special memories of the departed. After the reunion send the remarks to the classmate's family.
