CONTEST WINNERSUpdated version of The Reunion Planner® Software Program

The Most Original and Creative Awards
Given at Reunions, (and what they won)
(as received for this contest)

First of all, thanks to all of you who submitted entries for our contest: "Most Original or Creative Award" given out at your reunion.  We had a lot of fun reading the entries.  In fact, since we were having so much fun, we wanted you to enjoy them as well.  Also, since many of the awards were so good, we didn't want to limit our winners to only five.  So, we have included three runners up.  The first five winners we picked will win our soon-to-be released Reunion Planner® software version 7.0.  Our two runners-up receive our recognition.  Kudos to them all!

Congratulations to the following five winners:

  1. Julie - Most Unusual Hobby - Nudest.  Prize:  License plate frame: "I'd Rather Be Naked."
  2. Marc - Best Beer Belly Award - Prize:  A Case of Beer
  3. Susan - Back from the Dead Award - When a formerly declared deceased alum appeared at the Reunion, his Prize was a Halo for coming furthest to the reunion.
  4. Tanya - Classmate who remembered and sang the school's alma mater the best.  Award - Gift Certificate from Best Buy, along with CD's from our era
    Also used:
    • Sexiest bald classmate, award: Large (clown-like) comb and a Gift Certificate from a local restaurant.
    • Sexiest grandma, award: Gift Certificate from Victoria Secret and "love" basket full of oils, chocolates, etc.
  5. Stanley - Appropriate for military reunions.   A door prize.  A maintenance squadron member at their 20-year reunion was presented with a Main Landing Gear Safety Pin.  They installed millions of them during the war and to have one as a keepsake was very special indeed.

Runners-Up

  1. Rose Culver - (two good entries)
    • Sherlock Holmes Award - Alum who found the most missing classmates.  Oscar Look-Alike Award
    • Where's Waldo Award - Classmate who was the hardest to find.  Oscar Look-Alike Award.
  2. Randy - Travelled the least.  Prize:  An Atlas to visualize the entire world.

Thank you all again for your fascinating entries!
